Nothing new around here. It is still snowing/raining/cold/sunny all in the same day. See below:

One of the biggest surprises upon arriving in Yakima was this house perched on a hill near the golf course overlooking the whole town. From a distance it looked so big we originally thought it was a church. A little investigating led me to this architect: guy dreier. He mostly does sprawling palaces in palm springs, but decided to venture to the pacific northwest for some fruit farmers. And let me tell you, little Yakima has some moolah running around. I saw more Bentleys and Lexuses than I do here in Sun Valley...

road trip
This last weekend we made a long road trip and went to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Washington! Wyatt was a superstar in the car, and he loved all the new toys and the backyard at their place.
He had so much fun he tuckered himself out!
They live on a golf course and Grandpa is a golf pro, so we enjoyed some beautiful views and great weather.

stumped
This kid turned 11 months on Mother's Day. SO big! Can't wait for his 1 year birthday, I have already bought a bunch of birthday party cups, plates, decorations, hats, etc. He's going to love it...
This is his absolute favorite book right now. It has lots of boy things in it, like cars and tractors and fire engines.

We are all bored here. It is very cold and overcasty/rainy. But, we got a new camera! Well, I got a new camera for mother's day (early because he couldn't wait) but we are all excited. So, we take pictures of our favorite subject because it is just not nice enough to go outside, and it is slack here so it is like we live in a ghost town. Meanwhile, Peanut is going about doing his usual stuff.
Taking baths. And posing for the camera?
Pushing his little pusher cart around
Putting things in his mouth

Eating. Yes, that is a piece of cereal by his nose.

I, on the other hand, have been scouring the internet for inspiration for a huge blank canvas that I scored supercheap at my favorite second-hand store, the Gold Mine. If I could find some more I would be tempted to do something mod like this.

Today is the Kentucky Derby and this woman is taking it seriously. I don't even know what to say about this hat. I suppose it will shield her from the rain? It's very My Fair Lady-ish, but if I was going to the Derby I would actually want to SEE the race, and I'm not sure the plumage wouldn't get in the way. We will definitely be watching the race later. From our couch.

Spring has me wishing for some things. This tankini from DKNY would be perfect for this summer.

I would like some new running shoes. I always get Asics. I love them. I am thinking about jogging (most people say run, but I will definitely be jogging) the Sun Valley Half Marathon, and I would need some new shoes (quick!) to go out and prove that I still not in shape.
Jon and I have been watching 9 Design on bravo. I have been interested in this couple, the Novogratze's, since I saw their work a couple years ago and now they have a reality show. Surprise! Anyway, their style is really unique and fresh and I think their book would be a great addition to the coffee table I will have once my little one stops pulling everything off the coffee table. Having a baby has actually led us to DE-clutter; otherwise everything ends up in his mouth or destroyed. So, you just put things away. Including the toilet paper.
