This is Peanut's First Art Project at school! I am so proud. The fact that it is a snake is something I'm sure his Dad set up, because normally I hate snakes. I will make an exception for this green paint-stroked guy. He seems harmless, as all preschool animals should be. School is going much better, now that he is not sick anymore. I did notice one of his front teeth has a little chip, I felt awful, but luckily he will lose his baby teeth. I have no idea how that happened, and it is pretty small.

Architect Barbie
Mattel has announced they will release Architect Barbie this year. They say they are celebrating Architecture as the Career of the Year. Huh? Anyone in the Architecture field is wondering where their career went. Bad timing, if you ask me. Maybe it inspire people to go hire an architect! Also note, Architect Barbie is wearing a dress and heeled black booties, along with a pink drawing tube. I would love to see her on a jobsite in that getup! All joking aside, it was a really nice effort by Mattel.

snow sculpture
Here is a snow sculpture of a different sort. Luke Aleckson created this installation with plastic trays on his feet! Oh, to have the time for such pursuits.
Peanut has been battling cold after cold lately, he even lost his little voice last weekend! So sad! We've been in survival mode and am ready for spring. I'm also studying for my next Architecture test, so I have also been hunkered down. Peanut starts "SCHOOL" next week so we are working on a couple things with him to get him ready. Basically sleeping through the night, giving up the bottle, and adjustment to a new caregiver. Wyatt does not really do well with change or adjustment, so I know next week will be a battle, too. But once he gets in the groove his new school will be amazing! We went to a little fundraiser at the school last night, and once Wyatt would release his death grip on us we couldn't get him to stop running around with all the other little munchkins. Yes, that was us hauling our "shy" toddler screaming and kicking out of the building when it was time to go. At least he wasn't old enough to be interested in the cake walk. I was always scared of the cakewalk in grade school. ???? I know.

I miss my sister. It was so great to have her out here for so long, but we don't see her nearly enough.
Here is Peanut. He is
1.Really, really, really into books.
2. Getting picky about foods.
3. Talking up a storm (even though I don't know exactly everything he is saying it sounds really important.)
4. Loves dancing around the house to music. He does a little pivot and circles around in a hop - it's hilarious. Doesn't matter if it is Kings of Leon or Lady Gaga.
5. Is starting to get used to the snow. We went for a walk on the bike path yesterday and he didn't whine at all! Now on to sledding...what kid doesn't like sledding?

she wins!
Olivia Wilde's dress was stunning. Fun and sparkly enough for awards season, but the dark color grounds it just enough. She didn't actually win an award, just in my book.

Once again, it is brrr-cold-freezing here and I am starting to wish for springtime weather. Not much of a skier's attitude, but I'm not doing much skiing! I can't wait to get back outside! These green interiors are a fresh feast for the eyes on a cold sunny day.
